EMERGENCY services were called to a fire involving a bin lorry.
Firefighters and police attended the fire at Bank Top, St Martins at around 8.30am.
A spokesman for Shropshire fire and Rescue Service said that crews from Ellesmere and Oswestry were called to the fire.
He added: "It was a fire involving household waste discharged from a refuse lorry. Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire."
West Mercia Police Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Teams posted on Twitter that no one was hurt in the blaze.
An Oswestry SNT spokesman said that there was "minimal" disruption to traffic.
