FIREFIGHTERS were called after a hedge was set ablaze.
A crew from Oswestry Fire Station attended after a hedge fire was reported on Balmoral Crescent in the town at around 6.25pm yesterday (Tuesday, August 15).
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Reports of hedge on fire which proved to be 12 metres of conifer hedge on fire. Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish fire."
The service announced on Twitter that the that the fire was started deliberately.
