Residents at a care home in Morda received a visit from some four-legged friends as they welcomed therapy ponies through their doors.
Woodlands Care Home in Trefonen Road arranged a day for residents to spend some time with the ponies, and it proved to be a successful visit.
Dawn Edwards, housekeeper at the residential home, said: “It was a great day – the ponies received a fantastic response from the residents.”
The visiting animals seemed to be an attraction for everyone present, with visiting families also giving their praise.
Dawn said: “It was such a success and it was so nice to hear visiting families speaking about how wonderful it was.
“It was good to see that even those residents who can be reluctant to leave their rooms were out and enjoying the visit.”
Woodlands Care Home is hoping to make it a more regular occurrence, and maybe welcome a wider variety of animals for future visits.
Dawn said: “We’re hoping to welcome the ponies here again next month and once more around Christmas time.
“Bringing in a different variety of animals in the future may be something we consider too, but we’ll definitely be hoping the ponies can come back
soon.”
