The funeral has taken place of Hilda Margaret Jones (Peggy) who lived at Ardmillan Close, Oswestry and died at home on 28th May 2013 aged 91 years. She leaves son and daughter-in-law Peter and Olwen, daughter Enid, grandchildren Craig, Tim, Howard, Guy, Lucy and Rachel, great grandchildren Toby, Maddy, Scarlett, Eaden, Harry, Olivia, Freddie, William and Harvey.
The funeral service at St Oswald's Parish Church, Oswestry was conducted by Mr Bill Bowen. Interment was at Oswestry Cemetery, bearers were Alan and Roger Mottram, Mike Wells (nephews) and Tim Nunnerley (grandson).
Family mourners were son and daughter-in-law Peter and Olwen, daughter Enid, grandchildren Craig, Charlotte, Tim and Joanne, Howard, Guy and Abi, Lucy and David, Rachel and Phil, and great grandchildren. Other mourners were family neighbours and friends too numerous to mention. Flowers were sent by the family only. Donations were gratefully received for Cancer Research UK and St Oswald's Parish Church.
The family wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy and generous donations, Mr Bill Bowen, Mrs Sue Leonard who read at the service, Oswestry Cricket Club for providing refreshments. Dr Fiona Whittingham (family doctor) for all her kindness and support. David Davies & Sons (Funeral Directors) for all their care and kindness.
