Griffiths. - Jean, of Crawford Road, Sheffield and formerly of Oak Drive, Oswestry. The funeral has taken place of Jean Griffiths who passed away at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield on 2nd December 2010 aged 78 years.
The funeral was held at St. Paul's Church, Norton Lees, Sheffield, followed by a cremation. Her ashes are to be scattered on Oswestry Racecourse.
Jean was born in Chesterfield but moved to Weston Rhyn at an early age. She married Donald Wynne Griffiths (died 30 April 1988) and is survived by her two sons David Hugh Griffiths and Nigel John Griffiths and her four grandchildren, Megan, George, Matthew and Eleanor of whom she was immensely proud. Jean worked for Duttons and MANWEB during her time in Oswestry. Jean was one of the founder memebers of the Oswestry Garden Society and was also a keen supporter of Oswestry in Bloom.
