OSWESTRY firefighters were called out to a gas fire late on Good Friday evening, according to its logs.

One crew was sent to Bronygarth Road shortly after 8pm after reports of a house fire and found it to be a gas-related incident, with support from North Wales Fire Service.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that firefighters dealt with the incident.

They said: “Crews used a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.

“This incident involved a gas fire. Crews isolated gas and gave advice, and were assisted by North Wales Fire Service.”

A stop message was sent to SFRS control at 8.25pm to confirm no further support was required.
