A MAJOR UK fashion retailer is coming back to Oswestry this month.
Peacocks has confirmed it is taking over the former M&Co building in Cross Street and is currently readying the store for its grand opening.
Posters placed in the window starring brand ambassador and pop star Louise Redknapp with former footballer Michael Owen have confirmed the shop will be opened on Thursday, March 21.

It marks the store’s return to Oswestry after it closed in 2012 following the company’s administration and is the third big name to come to the area following McDonald’s and the Range.
Social media users welcomed the branch’s opening.
One social media commenter said: “I like Peacocks, it's definitely a huge positive for Oswestry.”
Another added: “If it’s good enough for Louise Redknapp and Michael Owen, it’s good enough for me.”

“We used to have such a choice of shops.”
