A PERSON had to be rescued from water on a road which has spent much of 2024 flooded, Shropshire firefighters have said.
One crew from Oswestry was sent to Burma Road, in Park Hall, after a report of a vehicle trapped in flood water at around 10.45am.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that a water first responder from Oswestry was able to assist he person out of the vehicle.

They said: “One person assisted from vehicle in flood water by water first responder personnel.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control at around 11.25am to confirm no further support was needed.
Police were also at the scene.
