NEIGHBOURLY ‘good intentions’ led to Shropshire firefighters being called out to a false alarm in St Martins on Monday.
Firefighters from Ellesmere were called out to Moors Banks in St Martins at around 2.15pm following reports of a shed fire.

However, when Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) arrived at the scene, the found that it was in fact a controlled burn at a nearby property.
A SFRS spokesman said: “This incident was a false alarm, good intent caused by smoke issuing from controlled burn in neighbouring garden.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control, confirming no further support was required, around 20 minutes later.
