FIRE crews were called out to blaze involving a digger near Oswestry today, January 5.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Services (SFRS) responded to an incident in Tedsmore at around 1.28pm.
Two fire teams were mobilised from Oswestry and Baschurch, while an operations officer was also called to the scene.
A spokesperson from SFRS said: “This incident involved one digger well alight.
“Crews used an extended hosereel and dry powder to extinguish the fire.”
The fire teams also used breathing apparatus and thermal imaging camera to deal with the incident.
A stop message was sent out to control, to confirm no further assistance was needed, at 2.12pm.
