EMERGENCY services rescued people who were trapped in a house on fire in Oswestry yesterday afternoon.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called out to reports of persons trapped in a house fire in Queen Elizabeth Close at 5.21pm on Wednesday, January 30.
Two fire appliances from Ellesmere and Oswestry and land ambulance services were mobilised to the scene.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Operations and fire Investigation officers were in attendance.
“All persons are accounted for.
“Crews gained access to property using ram from method of entry kit.”
A stop message confirming no further assistance was needed was sent to control at 5.59pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "“We were called by the fire service at 5.35pm to a fire at a private address on Queen Elizabeth Close in Oswestry.
"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found a woman who was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.
"She was conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment.”
