AN OSWESTRY-based charity dedicated to supporting children and their families living with movement difficulties has received a big donation from the Morrisons Foundation.
The Movement Centre received a donation of £9,080, enabling the Oswestry-based charity to buy specialised standing frames, a vital piece of equipment that every child who starts a course of ‘Targeted Training’ physiotherapy requires.
Curtis Langley, Fundraising and Marketing Officer at The Movement Centre, said: “The generous funding from the Morrisons Foundation will directly impact the families attending our centre, where we now offer fully funded physiotherapy to all children who could benefit from our intervention.

“The introduction of Targeted Training has proven to be a game-changer, and this support will further amplify its impact.
“With this backing, we can empower children to reach their full potential, fostering independence, strength, and making life a bit easier for both them and their families.
“We have worked with Morrisons for a number of years, and always enjoy working with the lovely community champions at the local Oswestry store.
“Rachael and Kiley are always very supportive, which we are very grateful for.
“2024 is going to be an exciting year for The Movement Centre, and we are delighted to have the support of Morrisons Foundation.”
The Morrisons Foundation was set up by Morrisons supermarket in 2015 and awards grants for charity projects which help improve people’s lives.
