A FORMER 'Bake Off' contestant is offering masterclasses at his luxury patisserie in Oswestry.

Adam Cleal, owner of Niche Patisserie, is offering budding chefs a chance to learn all about croissants, in a full-day course this April.

There are two dates available for the course with very limited spaces, that start at 8.30am through until 5pm, at the venue in Salop Road.

The patisserie announced their classes via Facebook, saying: “Handmade from scratch with only the best ingredients, learn to make those beautiful layers of buttery perfection that make a very Niche croissant indeed.

“Would you like to learn to make some for yourself and tray them up for your weekend breakfast or make some for a special occasion to enjoy over coffee with friends?”

OTHER NEWS:

Lunch and coffee breaks are provided during the day along with a selection of ingredients and some goods to take home.

Since launching the first Niche classes with Adam - who was a semi-finalist on Bake Off: The Professionals in 2019 - the patisserie has received some lovely feedback which they added on their Facebook post.

They shared some words from, Steve Maloney, who said: "Attended the sourdough bread making course for the day and I have to say how excellent it was.

“Adam used a practical and logical approach from start to finish, which was easy to follow.

“We had notes and materials and bread to bring home and made dough ready for baking, at home the following day.

“The whole day was a great experience and I would be happy to attend further courses and recommend to others."

The praise carried on with Paula, who bought the experience for her husband.
