DENBIGH Town have the recipe for a successful venture in tomorrow’s huge cup final.
That’s the view of top chef Bryn Williams, who will be one of over 700 Denbigh fans cheering on the Reds in the final of theWord Cup against holders The New Saints (5.15pm).
Williams, who hails from Denbigh, believes recent clean sheets will stand underdogs Town in good stead versus last season’s treble winners - and he can’t wait for the red hordes to take over Llandudno!
“We’re going to take over Llandudno!
“I like the sound of that!” he said.
Williams will be part of a group of four heading to the match at Llandudno’s Parc Maesdu ground, with a stop off at his Porth Eirias Restaurant for a pre-match meal a distinct possibility!
“It’s a big one,” added Williams.
“They have kept two clean sheets in the run in.
“Defensively, it looks fairly good.
“But The New Saints have been banging in the goals on their run.
“I can see it being a close game.
“I think there will be a goal between them... with Denbigh winning, of course!”
Denbigh fans will be making plenty of noise to gee-up their heroes over the course of the 90 minutes, with rumours that a drum will be in attendance to keep the beat going!
Williams added: “I will bang anything if we win!
“You can say the players have done the town proud already.
“They should get an open top bus ride through Denbigh for what they have done already!
“They should be really proud of what they have achieved.
“I’m hoping there will be a few flags there and they can embrace the situation.
“It’s an FA Cup final and anyone can win it.”
