A RETIRING gas engineer says his customers ‘could not be in better hands’ after he officially handed over his client base to a former protégé.

DA Bunning Gas LTD, a gas engineering company operating from Whittington Business Park, will be taking over all gas engineering work from AA Gas Services, also based in Oswestry.

AA Gas Services, a gas engineering company headed up by Clive Denham with the support of Shelley Paterson, was established in 1989, and has been offering his service to the people of Oswestry ever since.

After 35 years in the industry, Clive has decided to hang up his tools and cease trading as AA Gas Services.

To ensure Clive’s customers still received a quality service, Clive approached Dale Bunning of DA Bunning Gas LTD, an old friend and work colleague, regarding the takeover of the company customer base, to which Dale jumped at the chance of being involved with.

Clive said: “After first working with Dale 15 years ago, and being able to support him at the start of his business, I could not wish to hand my customers over to a better person.

“He has grown an excellent business over the years and he has the same ethics and working practices that we have always prided ourselves on.

“I know Dale and his staff will continue to care for my customers’ needs with integrity and professionalism.

“I've enjoyed my time in the industry but am ready for a well-earned rest and spending time with the family.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my customers past and present for their support over the last 35 years, and wish Dale and his staff all the best for the future.”

Dale added: “I’ve worked with Clive and AA Gas Services for many years, so when he approached me with the opportunity to take over their current gas work, I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to get started.

“DA Bunning Gas LTD is a family run business of Gas Safe Registered engineers, and we have been working across Oswestry and the surrounding areas since 2011.
