BOSSES at an Ellesmere factory have confirmed that the company is moving from its base because it needs more space to expand the business.

The factory site for Fullwood Packo, in Grange Road, was put up for sale recently for around £2 million through estate agents Towler Shaw Roberts.

The spokesman added that the company is not yet ready to announce where its next base will be, but did say they will remain ‘within the region’ with reports of a new site in Wrexham being considered.

And they added that the current site could have many new uses going forward.

They said: “Since the takeover Mid 2022, the expected synergy between Fullwood and JOZ has led to great success.

“The number of milking robots sold by Fullwood JOZ has more than doubled.

“Software and data collection upgrades have been implemented and continuous investments in product innovation create a foundation for a bright future for the company.

“The further development and growth of our company however requires facilities which can’t be realised at our current location on Grange Road, Ellesmere.

“A change that comes faster than expected and shows how much we have grown in a very short time. Therefore, we aim to move within the region.

“The owner of our current Ellesmere location has the intention to divest the property. Therefore, the potential of the location is now offered to interested parties.
