A VILLAGE show has enjoyed yet another successful year of competition.
Competitors and crowds gathered for the 43rd annual Rhydycroesau Village Show on Saturday.
Show secretary Debbie Jones said that the event was a success, adding: "We had a good turn out. We had to lose the horse show due to the organiser being poorly, but despite that we had a good turn out for the dog show and an excellent produce show, so it all went really well."
The show boasted a host of competitions including a dog show, sheep shearing and numerous vegetable, horticulture and craft categories.
Rhydycroesau Village Show also a tractor run that saw a wealth of vehicles drive down to the show field.
Meanwhile, Cefn Canol resident Di Cauldwell created a display commemorating the centenary of the RAF, votes for women and the end of the First World War.
Mrs Jones added: "We had a big crowd. The weather was very kind to us. It's always a good test if the ice cream seller had a very good day!"
She also thanked all those who contributed to the event's success.
"We have a tremendous team of volunteers that put the show together," she said
