And patriotic pair Mike Perry and Ryan Dean have really gone to town with their home in School Road, West Felton.

They have decked out the side of their house with flags to show their support.

Mike said: “We both had the idea to do it – and it took a bit of effort to pull off.

“We have tried to do something for all the tournaments since 2010 but we had to order a bigger flag for this year to make it stand out.

“We’ve had no complaints from the neighbours yet – even the Welsh ones! – and we’ve even had a compliment or two.”

Mike is expecting England to claim two “high-scoring wins” before drawing with Belgium to win the group on goal difference.

“We’d love the lads to bring the World Cup home but realistically if we reach the quarter-finals – or perhaps even the semis – then we’d have done well,” said Mike.
