Students at Derwen College baked some mouth-watering sensations as they celebrated National Bread Week.
The specialist college in Gobowen stocks an array of breads in its Youngs Farm Shop which are baked by students with the help of Angharad Davies every morning in the on-site Bradbury Food Centre.
But for one week only they took the opportunity to experiment with different flavours and designs.
Some students even took inspiration from World Book Day and created Harry Potter shaped breads, while others made daffodil-shaped breads to celebrate St David's Day.
Unfortunately, the one-off creations were kept by the students.
But they still ensured their regular offerings including flavoured crowns, traditional tinned loafs, baps and of course, the Henry Hedgehog loaf, were still in supply.
Peter Evans, DC shop and leisure manager, said: "We try to teach students how it is in the real world.
"The bread they make looks and smells amazing.
"What they make is sold in the shop and then any leftovers are sent to the students houses on site, or used to make bread and butter pudding, so nothing gets wasted."
During National Bread Week the college has been pushing its advertising of what it sells to students and staff, but the Youngs Farm Shop is open daily to the general public between 10am and 4pm.
Peter added: "We've only just launched this range of breads, and although we are strict in what we make because it is a business, it's also a comprehensive selection.
"We make the breads that people want after asking students what they would like and the crowns in particular have been very popular.
"We're looking to take on the high street."
